Recycling WEEE items

Business WEEE in London is estimated at 100,000 tonnes per annum

For easy to digest information on WEEE legislation as of July 1st 2007, please go to our Why Recycle tab and select 'Legislation'

Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) is today's fastest growing waste category and includes computers, toys, televisions and other related equipment (see our legislation pages for the 10 categories of WEEE at the top of our home page)

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment(WEEE) may contain toxic materials including arsenic, bromine, cadmium, halogenated flame retardant, HCFCs, lead, mercury and PCBs. Some of these items will also be classified as Hazardous Waste and if you have these, you should register with the Environment Agency before you reach the 200kg per year volumes.
