History
A family run company and established 1986, London Recycling Limited has four working directors who ensure personal attention through a 'hands-on' approach at all stages of our service.
We are located on the east side of the City of London. Our three depots now offer unrivalled recycling, waste management and security shredding solutions for business and industry. We look to service these areas close to our site to limit congestion and our carbon footprint. And encourage businesses like yours to choose local companies like ourselves to ensure that you too are limiting your carbon footprint!
We continually develop and improve our working methods to ensure that the waste from your company has minimal environmental impact. Our expertise in waste management and recycling means we can design a cost effective scheme to maximise recycling opportunities, reduce landfill, meet legislation save you money and finally offer you a range of stylish containers to do the job.

London Recycling Limited is proud to announce that we have recently been awarded runner –up status in the SME category at this years ‘Green Oscars’ – the Annual Sustainable City Awards (formerly Liveable City Awards).
Green Tsar Zac Goldsmith handed out the awards at a presentation in Mansion House on 21st February 2007.
A statement from the judges concluded that whilst the environment could be said to be our business, they were particularly impressed with how this philosophy had reached ever corner of our operations, with our commitment to environmental preservation through waste minimisation and innovative waste management techniques.
Our commitment, combined with a range of innovate projects designed to get Londoners recycling were valued by the judges and it was this that elevated us to the runners up position in the SME category.

Carbon Neutral Fleet,Tree planting in Southern Mexico and (Surrey, UK)
Could you surive on under £100 a year?
No, and that’s inexcusable in the developed world - in fact anywhere. However, in two zones in Mexico, Tzeltal and Tojobal, that is the average wage. This has obvious consequences including malnutrition, limits to educational opportunities for all and poor living conditions.
London Recycling Limited has yet again offset its unavoidable CO2 emissions for period 2007/2008 from its fleet of vehicles to aid a project to alleviate poverty in Southern Mexico.
The Scolel Te Social Forestry Project, Chiapas, Mexico.
Through the CarbonNeutral Company, The CarbonNeutral(R) Programme enables investors like our business and (potentially yours) to provide opportunities for a sustainable income for future generations. Farmers are now able plant fruit and nut tree orchards on their land, restoring it to its original forested state. These are the trees that soak up carbon dioxide and effectively ‘neutralise’ carbon dioxide generating activities. As investors, LRL will be helping the Carbon Neutral Company offset 30,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions over a 100-year project.

Our aim is to further reduce our emissions where possible. We are aiming to achieve Euro III for our vehicles and as a natural progression Euro IV in the future. Many of our vehicles have been given a face-lift with new and thought provoking signage - again with a tree theme including the strap line: Treesy Peasy - see our home page image. So while they are out in the busy streets of London they are not only collecting material for recycling but purveying greening messages to the general public and businesses alike.
